#2. Musical background. Computer Music.
- You can’t buy Roland Juno in Siberia, but can load a 5” diskette with Spectrofon Digital Magazine and Sound Tracker 128 Pro,
- yeah, Yamaha YM2149F Inside, ZX Spectrum demo scene
- Eurodance and Guns’n’Roses, Aerosmith and MC Hammer, Beatles and Jean Michel Jarre
- Siberia, frost, flea markets, little cassette shops, Wu Tang, Onyx, Public Enemy, Dr.Dre albums, Kowalsky listen CDs at Zed’s place.

#3. Early works.
- ZX Spectrum + Sound Tracker Pro = chip tune music.
- Zed moves from ZX Spectrum to ZS Scorpion + General Sound card,
- many many remixes of Prodigy “Poison”
- PC, Fasttracker, digging in MOD files, collecting samples
- experiments with ALESIS SR-16, music “in table” and “for friends only”
- Zed and Kowalsky play as djs at school partys
- Zed and Kowalsky disperse dancefloor crowd playing “No remorse (I wanna DIE)!!!” by Atari Teenage Riot feat. Slayer like a final chords of a New Year’s Party dj set
#4. Disconnected.
- Kowalsky enters  university and goes away from Surgut  to Moscow.
- Kowalsky lives in hostel, where there is no no windows, no computer, no internet too
- every weekend  Kowalsky goes to public call office and calls
- post office, packages with  messages and music recorded to audio cassettes
-  Zed’s brother buys an electric guitar, there is an opportunity to record a guitar samples
-  Kowalsky comes to Surgut on winter and summer holidays
-  Zed and Kowalsky continues to write music in Fasttracker
#5. Rock’n’Roll remix. Debut album. the Second Division.
- Zed connects to internet through a phone modem and  makes friends with Prodigy fans: Neko, Brainkiller, Juges.
- Prodigy “Rock’n’Roll” remix is done, mp3 file was send to XL Recordings,
- Rock’n’Roll remix was sent to a popular Prodigy fans communities on internet and recieved       good feedback
- Zed and Kowalsky did enough tracks to release an album
- Zed makes an instance to title a band  “the Second Division”, аnd  the  album –  “Siberian Plague”
- Kowalsky makes several drawings, wich was later become a cover art for album and b-sides
- “Funky Shit” remix is done
- Zed comes to Moscow for a month, hostel, bedbugs.
- demo cd goes to Citadel records, feedback  was: “we can release this, but  without samples and      only on compilations.”
#6. New remixes.  Digging Renoise, digging  Reaktor.
- Kowalsky studies hard at university- Zed programms “the Second Division” web-site and  Kowalsky makes a logo of  the band for it
- Zed finishes remixes of  Prodigy’s “Narayan”, “Wind it up”, Maxim’s “Carmen Queasy”
- Kowalsky buys a PC and starts to search more functional  alternatives to FastTracker, makes different demos
- Zed diggs NI Reaktor and developes several great instruments and plugins, starts to work on        project – theprodigy.ru
- Kowalsky buys cheap mixer Lell SMX-6 and guitar distortion Lell XM X-metall, brings his father’s old electric guitar from Surgut and tryes  to mix rock and electronic sound
- Zed joins Renoise developers team and  shows  Kowalsky first Renoise versions
- the Second DIvision chooses Renoise as a basic DAW
#7. Disconnected again. Неопределенность.
- Zed buys vintage soviet analog synthesizer Rithm-2 and starts to restore it
-  Zed falls ill,   begins struggle  with asthma
- hard times for Kowalsky in Moscow
- stress arise,  disagreement between Zed and Kowalsky
- Zed and Kowalsky stop to comunicate
- Zed finishes a remixes of  Prodigy  “Babys got a temper” и “Trick”.
- Kowalsky starts a solo projects, tries to experiment with different genres of music
- Zed works  at  SynthOfMine.com and Prodigyremix.com
- Kowalsky plays as session drummer with different alternative rock bands
#8. Second Division. Second Breath.
- Zed uploads music of  the Second Division to  Last.FM, amount of listeners rises to
2000 worldvide
- independently from each other Zed и Kowalsky start to feel the need of communication and work
together
- Zed breaks the silence and writes  e-mail to  Kowalsky with  suggestion to work together and as     a band,  from start begins the search of a common ground
